88 per cent of the households spoke out on an additional supply, 6 per cent declared against it and 6 per cent had no opinion.

The inhabitants of Katzelsdorf demanded courses about regional culture (regional history, regional customs), house-building and style of living, health (healthy food, ecological horticulture), computer courses (especially about internet), foreign languages like English and Italian, conflict management as well as photography/video.
The members of the households were less or not interested in themes about club activities, economy and occupation or personality education.

Following themes for courses were suggested and desired:

  • health themes: homoepathy, health provision, first aid, herbal medicine, Kneipp cure
  • social themes: addiction and addiction prevention, conflict management in the family
  • introductory computer courses (especially for elderly people)
  • languages: English, Italian
  • creative courses: creative writing, circle of readers, pottery, drum, vocal education and singing, sculpture
  • natural sciences: astronomy, meteorology
  • holiday courses for children and young persons: sporting activities, excursions, ...

Some suggestions for improvements in supply and organization of courses were submitted:

  • Informations about courses should be given in time and regularly, not only at the municipal office and on posters, but also by leaflets to each household.
  • A minimization of course costs should be aimed at by sponsoring, by graduation according to the number of participants and by close co-operation with other educational institutions.
